Life in a Haitian Valley Film Study (1934, 52 min., Haiti) by Melville Herskovitz and Frances Herskovits.

Shot during the Herskovitz’s three-month field study in the valley and village of Mirebalais in central Haiti, this film gives insight into Haitian culture, subsistence activities and ritual in the 1930s.  Discussion to follow the film.
