This specimen is Pumice. Pumice is a very light and porous volcanic rock. It is formed when super-heated and highly pressurized gas- rich lava solidifies quickly from rapid cooling and rapid depressurization. The rock measures approximately 12 cm x 8 cm x 5cm.
